The Library of Indian Institute of Medical Sciences Ayurved College (IIMS), Manori, Nashik was established in 2023.The IIMS Library uses Koha software, a server-based library management system designed to streamline library operations. This system leverages server technology to deliver efficient, reliable, and accessible library automation. By utilizing web services, Koha supports key functions such as Acquisition, Cataloging Circulation, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), and Serials Control. These core modules ensure seamless management of library resources, enhance the user experience, and optimize workflows. The system’s server-based computing architecture ensures secure data storage and reliable accessibility from multiple locations. Together, these features empower the library to effectively support the Institute’s teaching, research, and extension programs.
The 5 Laws of Library Science is a theory proposed by S. R. Ranganathan in 1931.
These laws are:
- Books Are For Use.
- Every Reader His/Her Book.
- Every Book Its Reader.
- Save The Time Of The Reader.
- The Library Is A Growing Organism.
